Defenders: Marius Wolf, Mats Hummels, Nico Schlotterbeck, Raphael Guerreiro

Though Thomas Meunier put on a solid display against Copenhagen, Terzic will likely see this as a necessary fixture to preserve some fresh legs where it’s feasible. Wolf and Meunier appear set to share much of the workload at right back for the foreseeable future.

The same opportunity for rest will likely be taken in regard to Niklas Sule. The German international will have his hands full in Manchester next week as he prepares for the seemingly unstoppable force that is former Dortmund star – Erling Haaland. Look for Mats Hummels to join the indispensable Nico Schlotterbeck as they look to hold Christopher Nkunku and Timo Werner at bay.

Tuesday night was a familiar trademark outing from Portuguese international Raphael Guerreiro. He’ll have to be more conservative going forward on Saturday as Leipzig will almost certainly be looking to apply pressure much further up the pitch, which is something that has already troubled Dortmund this season at times against forward thinking opponents. The Bayer Leverkusen game was a good example of this. Still, he remains a constant threat for opposing right-wingers and will no doubt test their defensive shape this weekend.
