Midfielders: Jude Bellingham, Salih Ozcan, Marco Reus

While deserved praise is being heaped on the blossoming partnership of Sule and Schlotterbeck, the same can be said for central midfield. Bellingham and Ozcan orchestrate a tireless midfield engine of box-to-box productivity with the latter appearing to be the perfect compliment to Jude’s game.

The duo provides the marriage of technical skill on the ball and seemingly all-out engagement on both ends of the pitch. The general flow of the game has improved since the opening fixtures of the season in which Bellingham’s workload was noticeably excessive. Much of this should be credited to Ozcan’s own defensive work rate.

Captain Marco Reus continues to remain fit and has been as consistent as ever. The 33-year-old will once again pull the strings after notching a Bundesliga record-tying 45th opening goal of the match for Dortmund in the previous league outing against Hoffenheim.
