Predicted Borussia Dortmund lineup for Manchester City clash
By Tushar Bahl
Forwards: Gio Reyna, Marco Reus, Anthony Modeste
Gio Reyna made a telling impact off the bench against FC Copenhagen. And he could be in line for a spot in the starting XI on Wednesday, depending on his fitness levels. Julian Brandt, who also starred against Copenhagen, will also be in contention.
Marco Reus is Borussia Dortmund’s leading goalscorer so far this season, with three goals to his name. And he will be aiming to lead from the front once again on Wednesday.
Anthony Modeste has not been able to make much of an impact since his summer move from FC Köln. He will no doubt be eager to change that on Wednesday. But with Manchester City set to have the majority of possession, he is unlikely to see too much of the ball.
Youssoufa Moukoko’s all-round ability would make him better suited for Wednesday’s game. But it remains to be seen if he will get the nod to start.
Karim Adeyemi, Donyell Malen and Thorgan Hazard are also back in the squad following their recent injury lay-offs, and are set to feature against Manchester City.
