Borussia Dortmund will look to return to winning ways this weekend as they go up against arch-rivals Schalke 04.

The Revierderby makes its long awaited return this weekend as Borussia Dortmund host Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga. We are set for another pulsating edition of this fiery derby between the two arch-rivals. And Edin Terzic’s side will be determined to return to winning ways after suffering two defeats in a row.

Borussia Dortmund have won the last three games between these two sides, scoring 11 goals in the process. But the newly promoted Schalke now have a completely revamped squad, and they will be determined to pull off an upset at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday. The Royal Blues got their first league win of the season last weekend, beating VfL Bochum 3-1.

Borussia Dortmund welcomed Donyell Malen, Karim Adeyemi and Thorgan Hazard back into the squad on Wednesday. But Nico Schlotterbeck could only start on the bench against Manchester City due to back problems. Gregor Kobel, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Mahmoud Dahoud, Sebastien Haller and Mateu Morey all remain sidelined.

Unlike in the game against Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund are set to enjoy the majority of the ball on Saturday. So we will likely see Terzic go with a more attack-minded line-up.

Schalke will be without defenders Marcin Kamiński and Cédric Brunner on Saturday. But head coach Frank Kramer should have the rest of his squad available to him.
