Predicted Borussia Dortmund lineup for Schalke 04 clash

Defenders: Thomas Meunier, Mats Hummels, Nico Schlotterbeck, Raphael Guerreiro

We could see one change in defence with Nico Schlotterbeck expected to come into the team if he has fully recovered from his back problems. The German international has made an impressive start to the season, and he will be aiming to deliver a strong performance against Schalke 04.

Niklas Süle has been in the starting XI for Borussia Dortmund’s last three games. And he could be due for a bit of a breather as Edin Terzic looks to manage his squad amid the fixture congestion. Mats Hummels has been in excellent form this season and deserves the chance to play from the start in the derby.

It will be interesting to see if Terzic decides to stick with Meunier and Guerreiro for Saturday’s game. Both players had decent outings against Manchester City. But Meunier’s lack of impact going forward could potentially see him make way for Marius Wolf.
