Predicted Borussia Dortmund lineup for Schalke 04 clash

Forwards: Julian Brandt, Donyell Malen, Anthony Modeste

We could see Borussia Dortmund go with a much-changed forward line on Saturday. Gio Reyna had a decent game against Manchester City. But it remains to be seen if he is ready to start two games in four days following his recent injury struggles.

Donyell Malen could replace Reyna in the starting XI on Saturday following his impactful cameo against Manchester City. Karim Adeyemi could also be an option depending on his fitness levels.

We could also see Julian Brandt make his return to the starting XI. The playmaker was an unused substitute on Wednesday. But his ability to play in tight areas could be crucial against a Schalke side that will no doubt look to defend deep.

Anthony Modeste has not been able to make the desired impact just yet. But he remains the favourite to start up front on Saturday. Only Bochum have conceded more goals than Schalke so far this season. And the veteran striker will be aiming to take advantage of the Royal Blues’ defensive woes on Saturday.
