Youssoufa Moukoko netted a 79th minute winner as Borussia Dortmund earned a narrow 1-0 win over Schalke 04 in the Revierderby.

Borussia Dortmund came out on top in the Revierderby, with Youssoufa Moukoko coming off the bench and scoring the winner. The 17 year old headed home from close range in the 79th minute to give the Black and Yellows a stunning win.

It was a much-needed win for Borussia Dortmund, who went into the game on the back of two straight defeats. Edin Terzic’s side dominated the game for long periods and fully deserved the three points against their arch-rivals.

Borussia Dortmund did receive a big blow during the game, as Marco Reus had to be stretchered off after suffering a serious looking ankle injury. But they got the job done in the end against a resilient Schalke side.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 1-0 win over Schalke 04.

Alexander Meyer (6/10)

Meyer did not have a whole lot to deal with, as Schalke weren’t able to manage a single shot on target. But he showed great confidence when coming out to collect crosses.
