Thomas Meunier (6/10)

Meunier had a decent game and did not do much wrong over the course of the 90 minutes. His crosses weren’t always the most precise. But he put in the hard work and covered more distance than any other player on the pitch. He also defended well and kept things tight on his flank.

Mats Hummels (8/10)

Hummels continued his excellent run of form with another strong performance against the likes of Terodde and Polter. He battled hard and made a number of vital interceptions and clearances for his side. He was also composed in possession and played some intelligent forward passes.

Nico Schlotterbeck (6/10)

Schlotterbeck had another solid game in defence and dealt with whatever Schalke threw at him. He positioned himself well at all times and helped his side keep a well earned clean sheet.

Marius Wolf (7/10)

Wolf made a number of dangerous forward runs down the left flank. He forced a good save from the Schalke goalkeeper in the first half, and also set up the winning goal with a well placed cross for Youssoufa Moukoko.
