Matheus Nascimento (18, CF, Botafogo)

If Borussia Dortmund might be looking for a young centre-forward for the future, Matheus Nascimento is possibly the most reliable and affordable option available at the moment.

He is still developing into a talented player, and his first-team numbers are not yet impressive, scoring 7 goals in 31 games this season. However, he is still very young and requires some patience to become a reliable player, like Youssoufa Moukoko is quickly showing to be.

Matheus Nascimento plays for Botafogo, a club that has been recently receiving an investment from John Textor, who also took over clubs like Crystal Palace and Lyon. The American millionaire is trying very hard to renew Nascimento’s current contract, which expires in 2023.

With Textor’s other clubs and Real Madrid reportedly interested in the young striker’s signature, Dortmund could take this opportunity to sign him for his value of 7 million according to Transfermarkt, or even for free, considering his contract situation.
