Midfielders: Emre Can, Jude Bellingham, Julian Brandt

Salih Özcan has been dealing with a foot issue over the last couple of weeks. And with 13 games coming up over the next six weeks, it does not make much sense to risk another injury by rushing him back into action. Emre Can is more than capable of getting the job done in defensive midfield against FC Köln.

Jude Bellingham made his 100th appearance for Borussia Dortmund in the win over Schalke. And after impressing for England in the UEFA Nations League during the international break, he will be eager to continue his fine run of form in the coming weeks. With Marco Reus sidelined, the 19 year old will have an increased responsibility in the team.

Julian Brandt looks set to start in attacking midfield in the absence of Marco Reus and Gio Reyna. The playmaker has shown glimpses of his quality this season. And he will be aiming to drive his team’s build-up play on Saturday.
