Borussia Dortmund conceded three goals in the second half, suffering a 3-2 defeat away to FC Köln in the Bundesliga.
Borussia Dortmund left the RheinEnergieSTADION empty handed on Saturday afternoon as FC Köln pulled off a stunning second half comeback to earn a 3-2 win. It was a well deserved defeat for the Black and Yellows, who weren’t able to wrestle control of the game at any point.
Edin Terzic’s side took the lead in the first half through Julian Brandt, but goals from Florian Kainz, Steffen Tigges and Dejan Ljubičić helped Köln turn the game on its head after the break. Tom Rothe forced an own goal late on, but Borussia Dortmund weren’t able to find a late equaliser.
Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 3-2 defeat to FC Köln.
Alexander Meyer (6/10)
Meyer made a number of sharp saves and was also quick with his distribution. He did not stand much of a chance with any of Köln’s goals.
