Thomas Meunier (6/10)

Meunier had a decent game on both ends of the pitch. He played some neat passes and did his defensive duties rather well for the most part.

Niklas Süle (5/10)

Niklas Süle fared slightly better than Nico Schlotterbeck but did face some problems in dealing with Sevilla’s attacking threat in the second half. He also had a free header inside the box in the fourth minute that he should have done better with.

Nico Schlotterbeck (4/10)

Nico Schlotterbeck did not look too comfortable on set pieces and was beaten in the air far too easily for Sevilla’s goal. Youssef En-Nesyri caused him a lot of problems over the course of the game.

Raphael Guerreiro (7/10)

Raphael Guerreiro got Borussia Dortmund off to a dream start by finding the back of the net early on with a stunning finish from the edge of the box. He was made to work hard defensively in the second half, but managed to put in a fairly disciplined shift.
