Julian Brandt (7/10)

Julian Brandt had a fairly strong game and was heavily involved in Borussia Dortmund’s attacking play. He helped orchestrate things from the number ten role and then sealed the win with a fine headed goal late on.

Karim Adeyemi (7/10)

Karim Adeyemi showed great composure to find the back of the net in the 43rd minute after Youssoufa Moukoko’s initial shot was saved. His darting runs caused the Sevilla defenders a lot of problems in the first half. He wasn’t able to impact the game as much in the second half, and was replaced by Donyell Malen.

Youssoufa Moukoko (8/10)

Youssoufa Moukoko replaced Anthony Modeste in the starting XI and made a telling impact on the game despite not getting on the score-sheet. He made a sublime turn and controlled the ball really well in the build-up to Karim Adeyemi’s goal. And he then assisted Julian Brandt late on with an inch-perfect cross.

Donyell Malen (5/10)

Donyell Malen came on to replace Karim Adeyemi and got into some really good positions. But he was wasteful in front of goal, with none of his four shots troubling the Sevilla goalkeeper.
