Predicted Borussia Dortmund lineup vs Sevilla
By Tushar Bahl
Borussia Dortmund will be aiming to secure their place in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 as they go up against Sevilla on Tuesday.
The condensed UEFA Champions League group stage will continue this week, with matchday four already upon us. Borussia Dortmund will play host to Sevilla, just one week after beating the Spanish side 4-1 away from home.
The Black and Yellows will be full of confidence going into the game, having come from two goals down to rescue a point against Bayern Munich on Saturday. And Edin Terzic will be hoping that his side can build on that performance in the coming games.
Borussia Dortmund are set to be without Marco Reus for Tuesday’s game, but Gregor Kobel, Mats Hummels, Thomas Meunier and Gio Reyna are in line to feature. Long-term absentees Mahmoud Dahoud, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Sebastien Haller and Mateu Morey remain sidelined for now.
Here we look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up for their UEFA Champions League group stage clash against Sevilla.
Goalkeeper: Gregor Kobel
Gregor Kobel appears to be closing in on full fitness and could line up between the sticks on Tuesday. Alexander Meyer has done a fairly solid job in Kobel’s absence. But the Swiss shot-stopper is Borussia Dortmund’s first-choice goalkeeper, and having him back in goal would be a big boost to the team.
