Niklas Süle (5/10)

Niklas Süle started the game on the right side of the back three and looked to help out in the build-up play. After the formation change at half time, he switched over to right-back where he tried to make things happen without ever looking like succeeding.

Mats Hummels (5/10)

Mats Hummels will feel that he should have done a better job of preventing Jordan Siebatcheu from holding the ball up well on the edge of the box and setting up Janik Haberer for Union Berlin’s second goal. Other than that, he had a rather solid game and did well to stop a number of counter attacks. And he also helped set up a good chance for Youssoufa Moukoko in the second half.

Nico Schlotterbeck (5/10)

Nico Schlotterbeck made a couple of vital tackles to prevent the scoreline from getting worse for his side. He was too slow and laboured on the ball at times, although he wasn’t helped by the lack of movement from those in front of him.
