Thomas Meunier (5/10)

Meunier had a difficult time defensively, with a lot of Hannover attacks coming from his flank. He did not offer anything going forward and struggled to link up with his teammates. The Belgian international then suffered a head injury at the hour mark and had to be subbed off.

Niklas Süle (4/10)

Süle’s underwhelming start to his Borussia Dortmund career continued as he was caught ball watching time and time again. He allowed the Hannover 96 forwards with ample space and time on a number of occasions, and his passing wasn’t always on the mark either.

Nico Schlotterbeck (4.5/10)

Schlotterbeck switched off at times, and his poor positioning resulted in a couple of dangerous opportunities for Hannover 96. He did rescue his side on a few occasions by making some vital recoveries, and he also won the majority of his duels. But defending set-pieces is something he desperately needs to work on.

Raphael Guerreiro (6/10)

Guerreiro had some neat link-up play with his teammates down the left wing. He also worked hard defensively and kept things tight on his flank.
