Emre Can (4/10)

Emre Can was bullied by the Hannover midfielders and was second best in several of his duels. He was often too sloppy, especially when he tried to drive forward with the ball at his feet. And he also came very close to scoring an own goal early in the second half.

Salih Özcan (5/10)

Özcan tried to get involved in the attacking play, but his lack of quality in the final third prevented him from making any impact. He did an okay job of distributing the ball to his teammates, but often struggled to keep pace when Hannover tried to counter-attack.

Julian Brandt (6/10)

Brandt had some encouraging moments in the first half and played a crucial role in Borussia Dortmund’s opening goal with his back-heel into Youssoufa Moukoko’s path. He played some neat passes, but also gave the ball away too cheaply on a number of occasions.
