Donyell Malen (5/10)

It was another frustrating performance from Malen, who tried to make things happen but failed to cause any real problems to the Hannover defence. He did come close to scoring twice, but his decision making in the final third wasn’t always the best.

Thorgan Hazard (5/10)

Hazard has hardly been used in recent weeks, and his performance showed his rustiness. The Belgian international did help set up the opening goal, but was kept quiet after that. He looked to be out of ideas in the second half and was replaced by Gio Reyna.

Youssoufa Moukoko (7/10)

Moukoko made a very lively start to the game and forced the own goal that gave Borussia Dortmund the lead. He came close to scoring on a couple of occasions and will be disappointed not to have ended up on the score-sheet. He wasn’t able to impact the game as much after the break, but still continued to put the work in for his side.

Jude Bellingham (7/10)

Bellingham came off the bench and won his side a penalty before stepping up and coolly converting it to seal the win for his side.

Mats Hummels (6/10)

Hummels solidified the BVB defence ever so slightly after replacing Thomas Meunier in the second half.
