Niklas Süle (8/10)

Süle may not be a natural right-back, but he looked very much at home in that role against Stuttgart. He set up Bellingham’s opener before scoring his first ever goal in BVB colours just ten minutes later. He continued to press forward at will in the first half, and the performance will give him a lot of confidence ahead of the game against Manchester City.

Mats Hummels (6/10)

Hummels hardly put a foot wrong and put in a strong shift in defence for his side. He was also afforded a bit of rest in the second half, with Felix Passlack coming on to replace him.

Nico Schlotterbeck (7/10)

Schlotterbeck made a number of crucial recoveries for his side in the first half and also showed great awareness to press high up the pitch and win the ball back before Borussia Dortmund’s fourth goal. He was forced to come off in the second half, and was replaced by Emre Can.

Raphael Guerreiro (8/10)

Guerreiro played with a lot more freedom and assisted two of Borussia Dortmund’s five goals. He delivered a lovely free-kick for Süle’s goal before putting in a precise low cross to set up Moukoko.
