Playing in a more natural defensive midfield role, Salih Özcan was able to do the job he enjoys the most. The Turkish international stopped a number of Stuttgart counter-attacks and also closed the passing lanes really well. His high intensity also helped those in front of him cause havoc in the final third.

Jude Bellingham (10/10)

Bellingham scored his first two Bundesliga goals of the season and set the tone for his side with an outstanding performance in the middle of the park. He looked to venture forward all game long. And his link-up play with his teammates in the final third was a joy to watch at times. The England international also played a crucial role in setting up Youssoufa Moukoko’s goal late on.

Julian Brandt (7/10)

Brandt may not have ended the game with a goal or an assist, but he still managed to make a big impact. He covered more distance than any other player on the pitch and linked up well with his teammates in the final third.
