Borussia Dortmund will be sweating on the fitness of a number of key players ahead of their home game against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Borussia Dortmund are set to take on Manchester City on matchday five of the UEFA Champions League group stage. Former BVB trio Ilkay Gündogan, Erling Haaland and Manuel Akanji will return to the Westfalenstadion for what should be a fascinating contest between the top two teams in the group.
Edin Terzic gave an update on his team’s personnel situation during his pre-match press conference, and revealed that there are a number of question marks ahead of the game. Nico Schlotterbeck, Marco Reus and Donyell Malen are all doubts. While Mats Hummels and Raphael Guerreiro have also been dealing with muscle issues.
Salih Özcan will definitely miss Wednesday’s game due to suspension, in addition to Borussia Dortmund’s five long-term absentees.
