Defenders: Niklas Süle, Mats Hummels, Nico Schlotterbeck, Raphael Guerreiro

Edin Terzic said during his pre-match press conference that he is confident Mats Hummels, Nico Schlotterbeck and Raphael Guerreiro will be able to play against Manchester City.

The trio have been dealing with muscle problems in recent days. But having them in the starting XI on Tuesday would be crucial to Borussia Dortmund’s hopes of getting something out of the game.

Niklas Süle delivered an impressive performance at right-back on Saturday, and also scored his first goal in a Borussia Dortmund shirt. He will start in that role again on Tuesday, unless one of Hummels and Schlotterbeck is forced to drop out.

Hummels was Borussia Dortmund’s standout performance in the reverse fixture, and he will be determined to put in a similar performance on Tuesday to keep Erling Haaland quiet.
