Borussia Dortmund delivered a resolute performance to claim a goalless draw against Manchester City and seal their place in the knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League.

Borussia Dortmund are through to the UEFA Champions League round of 16 after playing out a goalless draw against Manchester City. The Black and Yellows delivered their best defensive performance of the season so far to prevent Erling Haaland and co. from scoring. Dortmund also had a number of good opportunities to score on the counter attack, but they weren’t able to make the most of them.

Despite the disappointing showing in front of goal, Edin Terzic will be pleased with the character and fight his side showed to go toe to toe with Manchester City over the course of the 90 minutes.

Mats Hummels set the tone with a strong performance in defence, while Gregor Kobel saved a penalty in the second half, and Youssoufa Moukoko caused Man City all sorts of problems with his clever movement in the final third.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their goalless draw against Manchester City.
