Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko has reportedly been included in Germany’s provisional squad for next month’s FIFA World Cup.

All teams competing at next month’s FIFA World Cup have submitted provisional squads (with up to 55 players) ahead of the tournament. Germany head coach Hansi Flick has not publicly revealed his provisional squad, but Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko is said to be on the long list.

This is being reported by BILD, who list a total of 44 names from Germany’s provisional squad. Hansi Flick will announce his final 26-man squad for the World Cup on November 10, with only the players who have been included on the long list available for selection.

Youssoufa Moukoko is enjoying an impressive season at Borussia Dortmund. The 17 year old has four goals and five assists to his name this season, despite only getting 756 minutes of playing time so far. And he has established himself as BVB’s first-choice striker in recent weeks.

Moukoko is currently a Germany U-21s international, and has scored six goals in just five appearances for them. It remains to be seen if the highly rated striker will be called up to the senior team for the World Cup. But if he gets the opportunity, it would certainly be well deserved considering the form he is in at the moment.

BILD add that a total of eight Borussia Dortmund players have been included in Germany’s provisional squad for the World Cup. Marco Reus, Mats Hummels, Niklas Süle, Nico Schlotterbeck, Karim Adeyemi, Emre Can and Julian Brandt are the other BVB players on the list.
