It will be fourth vs fifth in the Bundesliga this weekend as Borussia Dortmund make the trip to the in-form Eintracht Frankfurt.

Borussia Dortmund will look to move up to fourth place in the Bundesliga standings this weekend as they take on Eintracht Frankfurt. The Eagles currently occupy fourth place, and are one point ahead of Edin Terzic’s side. They have won their last four games and will no doubt offer BVB with a tough test on Saturday evening.

Borussia Dortmund secured their place in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday after holding Manchester City to a goalless draw. And they will now look to take confidence from that result as they try and close the gap to league leaders Union Berlin in the coming weeks.

The Black and Yellows will have to make do without their five long-term absentees on Saturday, as well as club captain Marco Reus. Raphael Guerreiro is dealing with muscle problems and will also miss the trip to Frankfurt.

Salih Özcan will return to the side after missing the Manchester City game through suspension. One or two players may be rested to deal with the team’s gruelling fixture list.

Eintracht Frankfurt will be without Borussia Dortmund loanee Ansgar Knauff, who is sidelined with a thigh injury at the moment. Christopher Lenz, Makoto Hasebe and Aurelio Buta are also injured and will miss Saturday’s game.

Mario Götze is set to feature against his former club, on the back of his man of the match performance against Olympique Marseille in mid-week.
