FC Copenhagen vs Borussia Dortmund: Team News

Borussia Dortmund make the trip to Denmark this week to take on FC Copenhagen on matchday six of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

The final matchday of the Champions League group stage will see Borussia Dortmund go up against Danish Superliga side FC Copenhagen. The Black and Yellows have already qualified for the round of 16, while Copenhagen are guaranteed to finish fourth in the group. So there isn’t a whole lot riding on the game. But BVB will be keen to build on the four-game unbeaten run they are currently on.

With qualification to the knockout stages already secured, Edin Terzic will likely look to rest a number of his key players for Wednesday’s game. The likes of Jude Bellingham, Julian Brandt and Youssoufa Moukoko could all be in line for a much needed breather.

Gio Reyna, Emre Can and Anthony Modeste are among the players who could come into the starting XI for Borussia Dortmund. Defenders Soumaila Coulibaly and Antonios Papadopoulos will also be hoping to feature on Wednesday.

Borussia Dortmund will once again be without Marco Reus and Raphael Guerreiro on Wednesday, as the duo have not made the trip to Copenhagen. The team’s five long-term absentees remain sidelined for now.

FC Copenhagen will be without the suspended Davit Khocholava, as well as the injured Zeca, Nicolai Boilesen and Akinkunmi Amoo.
