Youssoufa Moukoko scored a stunning first-half brace as Borussia Dortmund cruised to a 3-0 win over local rivals VfL Bochum.

Youssoufa Moukoko has been breaking records for fun since making his Bundesliga debut just one day after his 16th birthday. And on Saturday afternoon, the 17 year old became the youngest player in Bundesliga history to reach double figures in terms of goals as Borussia Dortmund comfortably dispatched Bochum 3-0 in the Ruhr derby.

Gio Reyna was also on target for Borussia Dortmund, who scored three goals in the first half before seeing out the win in relatively comfortable fashion.

Jude Bellingham, Julian Brandt, Youssoufa Moukoko, and Niklas Süle all returned to the BVB starting XI after being rested on Wednesday. Raphael Guerreiro replaced Thorgan Hazard at left-back after recovering from his injury, while Marco Reus started on the bench.

Borussia Dortmund made a fast start to the game and raced to a two goal lead early on. Youssoufa Moukoko opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a sublime curling effort from the edge of the box.

The goal helped Moukoko surpass Florian Wirtz and become the youngest player in Bundesliga history to reach the ten goal mark.

Donyell Malen then won Borussia Dortmund a penalty just three minutes later. Gio Reyna stepped up and made it 2-0 with a composed finish.

Moukoko then showed his incredible quality once again to make it 3-0 on the stroke of half time. The striker incredibly chipped the ball into the back of the net from a long way out, as Bochum goalkeeper Manuel Riemann was caught in no man’s land.

Bochum started the second half looking to claw their way back into the game, and Gregor Kobel had to be at his best to ensure that Borussia Dortmund didn’t concede an early goal. But after a while, the away side’s attacking push fizzled out and the Black and Yellows were happy to see out the 3-0 win in the end.

Edin Terzic will certainly be pleased with the way his side responded after an underwhelming attacking display in Denmark on Wednesday. And Marco Reus also made his return from injury, in what is a massive boost for both BVB and the Germany national team.
