Borussia Dortmund to face Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League round of 16

Borussia Dortmund will go up against English Premier League side Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League round 16.
The UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw has finally been made, and Borussia Dortmund will have to overcome the challenge of Chelsea in a two-legged tie in order to make it through to the quarterfinals. The Black and Yellows will be at home for the first leg, before traveling to the Stamford Bridge in London for the second leg.
Borussia Dortmund finished second in their Champions League group behind Manchester City, and they certainly showed that they are more than capable of going toe to toe with Europe’s biggest clubs.
Chelsea finished first in their Champions League group this season, winning four of their group stage matches. They are coached by Graham Potter and also have two former Borussia Dortmund players in their squad, in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Christian Pulisic. Chelsea are currently seventh in the English Premier League standings.
This will be the first time Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea face off in their history; and we should be in for a fascinating UEFA Champions League tie between the two sides. Both teams have a number of quality players in their squad. And Edin Terzic’s side will no doubt feel that they have what it takes to make it to the quarterfinals.
The UEFA Champions League round of 16 will get underway in February. The first legs of the round of 16 ties will be played on 14/15/21/22 February, with the second legs set to take place on 7/8/14/15 March.
