Donyell Malen (5/10)

Another player constantly pointed out by skeptical Borussia Dortmund fans is Donyell Malen. In spite of a few inspired moments in which he dribbled past defenders and took valiant shots on target, he failed to make a real impact on the game. Such performances are greatly appreciated by his detractors who label him a “flop”.

Karim Adeyemi (4/10)

Similar to Julian Brandt, Karim Adeyemi was extremely quiet against Wolfsburg. It is safe to say that Niklas Süle, being a sturdy and lanky right-back, contributed more to Borussia Dortmund’s attacking play than Karim Adeyemi. While it takes time for new players to adapt to new environments, BVB fans are right to be expecting more from the young German international.

Youssoufa Moukoko (6/10)

Borussia Dortmund’s highly rated striker clicked into the game right from the get go. Despite his best efforts, he often found himself alone and without teammates to link up with. This resulted in Moukoko having very limited offensive opportunities.
