Eleven Borussia Dortmund players called up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup

Eleven Borussia Dortmund players will be making the trip to Qatar to represent their national teams at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to get underway in Qatar this weekend and teams have announced their final squads ahead of the tournament. A total of 11 Borussia Dortmund players have been called up by their respective national teams.

Five Borussia Dortmund players have been named in Germany’s World Cup squad by head coach Hansi Flick. Niklas Süle, Nico Schlotterbeck, Julian Brandt, Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko will all be aiming to help Germany win the FIFA World Cup for the fifth time in their history. Germany will face Spain, Japan and Costa Rica in the group stage.

Jude Bellingham is set to play a key role for England at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Three Lions will have to overcome the challenge of the United States, Iran and Wales to make it to the knockout rounds. Gio Reyna has been called up by the USMNT, who are also in Group B.

Gregor Kobel is part of the Switzerland squad for the FIFA World Cup. Their group stage opponents are Cameron, Brazil and Serbia. Raphael Guerreiro is also headed to Qatar after being called up by Portugal. The Euro 2016 winners are set to face Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea in the group stage.

Borussia Dortmund duo Thomas Meunier and Thorgan Hazard have both been selected by Belgium for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Red Devils are among the favourites to win the tournament and will battle Canada, Morocco and Croatia in the group stage.

Borussia Dortmund coach Otto Addo will be leading Ghana’s charge at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He is the head coach of the Ghana national team, who are in Group H with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will get underway on November 20 and the final is scheduled to take place on December 18.
