It will be Raphael Guerreiro vs Otto Addo in the FIFA World Cup on Thursday as Portugal and Ghana square off in Group H.

Portugal are set to begin their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign on Thursday, and a tricky test awaits them against Otto Addo’s Ghana. The Borussia Dortmund talent coach will be aiming to lead Ghana to a shock result against the Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portugal, and we could be in for a hard fought contest at the Stadium 974 in Doha.

Borussia Dortmund left-back Raphael Guerreiro will be hoping to start for Portugal on Thursday. But with competition for places very high in the two full-back positions, he may well have to make do with a place on the bench.

The build-up to Portugal’s World Cup campaign has been dominated by Cristiano Ronaldo’s stunning exit from Manchester United. The legendary forward, who was also linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund in the summer, will now be aiming to make his mark on the pitch in what will likely be his final World Cup.

Otto Addo will have all 26 of his players available for selection for Ghana’s World Cup opener. Athletic Bilbao forward Iñaki Williams will play a key role in attack, while Mohammed Kudus will be one to watch in midfield.
