Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen is said to be on Sevilla’s list of targets as they look to replace Kasper Dolberg, who is attracting the interest of TSG Hoffenheim.

Donyell Malen is being linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund, with Gianluca Di Marzio claiming that the Netherlands forward is one of the first names on Sevilla’s list of targets to replace Kasper Dolberg.

The Danish striker, who is currently on loan at Sevilla from OGC Nice, is being heavily linked with a move to TSG Hoffenheim. And Di Marzio claims that Sevilla are ready to part ways with him in January. The report adds that Sevilla are considering Malen as a potential replacement for Dolberg.

Malen joined Borussia Dortmund in 2021 from PSV Eindhoven, but has not been able to make the desired impact in Germany.

The 23 year old has managed to find the back of the net just once so far this season, and that goal came against third division side 1860 Munich. He has scored just ten goals in 55 appearances for the Black and Yellows, and also failed to make the Netherlands’ squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

It remains to be seen if Borussia Dortmund would be willing to sell Donyell Malen in the January transfer window. The BVB bosses have been adamant that they are not planning to make any major moves in the transfer market next month. But a lucrative offer for Malen from Sevilla may change their plans. The versatile forward still has more than three years left on his current contract with Borussia Dortmund.
