Borussia Dortmund will take part in the Christmas Cup tournament in Bucharest on Saturday, where they will take on Romanian side Rapid Bucharest and Italian club Fiorentina in two 60-minute friendly matches. A number of BVB players who took part in the 2022 FIFA World Cup are set to feature in the double-header.
Gio Reyna, Youssoufa Moukoko, Nico Schlotterbeck, Julian Brandt, Karim Adeyemi, Thomas Meunier and Thorgan Hazard are all back in the Borussia Dortmund squad after their national teams were eliminated from the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Niklas Süle, Mats Hummels and Alexander Meyer have not made the trip to Romania, in addition to the players who are currently dealing with injuries or are still in Qatar.
