Comparing the stats of Ramy Bensebaini and Raphaël Guerreiro

Taking a look at the two players from an attacking sense, Raphaël Guerreiro is the more well rounded player. The Portuguese international excels in terms of goals and assists per 90 minutes, finding himself in the 96th and 73rd percentiles respectively over the course of the last year. The BVB left-back’s pass completion percentage also sits at an impressive 84%.

Ramy Bensebaini in comparison finds himself on the high end in terms of goals per 90 minutes. The Gladbach left-back has scored 6 goals for his club this season across the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal, which has helped put him in the 97th percentile in terms of goals scored when compared to players in a similar position.

His numbers do drop quite significantly when we compare him to Guerreiro in terms of passing. His pass completion percentage sits at 78.8%, and he has significantly less progressive passes per 90 minutes than Guerreiro (2.48 compared with 4.81), which, at least from a statistical standpoint, make him a less creative option than his BVB counterpart, which for the modern left-back is still an important facet of the game.
