Youssoufa Moukoko’s agent denies claims that a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund is close

Youssoufa Moukoko’s agent has denied claims that the striker is close to reaching an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund over a contract extension.
The future of Youssoufa Moukoko has been thrown into doubt once again, with his agent revealing that the striker is not close to agreeing a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund. It was reported by Ruhr Nachrichten earlier this week that an agreement between the two parties finally appears to be in sight. But Patrick Williams has now poured cold water on those claims.
In an interview with Sky Sport, Moukoko’s agent has revealed that they are still in talks with Borussia Dortmund but a contract extension is not yet close to being finalised.
"“I can confirm that we are not currently close to finalising a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund. I can also assure you that the figures that are circulating are simply not true and were never offered to Youssoufa. However, we are still in talks with Borussia Dortmund and we’ll see what the next few days bring.”"
Youssoufa Moukoko’s current contract with Borussia Dortmund is set to expire at the end of the season. Several of Europe’s top clubs are said to be interested in signing the highly rated striker, who recently made his senior debut for the Germany national team.
Chelsea, Liverpool, FC Barcelona, and Manchester United have all been linked with a move for the 18 year old. And Williams has admitted that Moukoko is a very appealing player for all the top clubs in the world.
"“A player like Youssoufa is attractive to all the top clubs in the world. Even more so when he is available on a free transfer and has a promising future in the German national team.”"
Moukoko said last month that he feels very much at home at Borussia Dortmund, and added that he would like to stay at the club as long as he gets the playing time he needs to continue his progress.
