Borussia Dortmund are set to travel to Spain next month for an eight-day training camp in Marbella ahead of the start of the second half of the season.

Borussia Dortmund will begin their preparations for the second half of the 2022/23 season on January 2 before heading to Spain four days later for a mid-season training camp. The Black and Yellows will once again be traveling to Marbella, where the players will train intensively and also take part in two friendly matches.

Edin Terzic’s side will go up against Fortuna Düsseldorf on January 10, before squaring off against Swiss club FC Basel three days later. The friendly match between Borussia Dortmund and FC Basel will see the two teams play four quarters of 30 minutes each. The two games will air live on BVB-TV.

Borussia Dortmund will then return to Germany on January 14 to continue their preparations for the return of the Bundesliga. BVB are set to face FC Augsburg at home in their first Bundesliga game of 2023 on January 22. They will then take on Mainz 05 three days later, before finishing their month with a tough away game against Bayer Leverkusen.

After a disappointing hinrunde, Borussia Dortmund will be determined to deliver much improved performances in the second half of the season. Dortmund are currently sixth in the Bundesliga standings, nine points behind league leaders Bayern Munich with the season almost at the half-way stage.
