Borussia Dortmund are set to hold talks with Jude Bellingham’s parents this week with the hope of finding a quick resolution to the midfielder’s future beyond the end of the season.
Some of Europe’s biggest clubs are said to be interested in signing Jude Bellingham, who could leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. The BVB bosses are hoping to get a clear answer on the midfielder’s plans beyond the end of the season. And initial talks between the two parties are set to take place this week.
This is being reported by Ruhr Nachrichten, who add that the BVB bosses will sit down with Jude Bellingham’s parents and advisor Mark Bennett to discuss the 19 year old’s future this week.
The Black and Yellows would like to get some clarity on Bellingham’s future after being kept in the dark by Erling Haaland for several months last year as the striker weighed up his next club. After months of speculation, the Norwegian international ended up joining Manchester City.
Borussia Dortmund will view the transfer fee they received from FC Barcelona for Ousmane Dembele in 2017 as the benchmark if Jude Bellingham decides to leave the club in the summer. A transfer fee in the region of 150 million euros is being touted. It remains to be seen how many clubs will be able to meet that asking price.
Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester City are said to be in the race to sign Bellingham. But Borussia Dortmund aren’t under any pressure to sell the England international this summer, with two and a half years left on his current contract with the club.
