Marco Reus’ agent has said that it is only natural other clubs are interested in signing the Borussia Dortmund captain, with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Marco Reus will be out of contract in the summer and Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr are reportedly interested in signing him on a free transfer. A number of English Premier League clubs are also said to be keeping tabs on the 33 year old. And Reus’ agent has now commented on the rumours surrounding his future.

"“It’s only natural that other clubs are interested in a player like Marco, whose contract expires in six months,” Dirk Hebel told BILD. “Marco has always stressed how close BVB is to his heart, but also that he wants to continue playing football. So it’s only natural that we also have to look at other options.”"

Reus said on a number of occasions last year that he would like to extend his contract with Borussia Dortmund and stay with the club until the end of his playing career. But the Black and Yellows have not yet offered the attacking midfielder a new contract. Talks between the two clubs are expected to take place in the coming months.

It is expected that Reus will be offered a contract extension, but he will likely have to accept a salary reduction if he wants to stay at Borussia Dortmund beyond the end of the season.
