Marco Reus has reportedly been left annoyed and frustrated by the fact that Borussia Dortmund have not approached him with a contract extension offer as of yet.
Marco Reus’ current contract with Borussia Dortmund is set to expire at the end of the season and talks over an extension have not taken place yet. According to WAZ, those in Reus’ camp have been left annoyed and disappointed by this. And the player is now looking at alternatives. This is also being reported by SportBILD, who claim that the BVB captain is intensively considering other options.
WAZ add that Reus’ entourage has been left surprised by the fact that the BVB bosses have been in talks with Youssoufa Moukoko for several months, yet the club captain has not yet received an offer. Meanwhile, SportBILD add that those in charge at Borussia Dortmund have not yet made a final decision on whether they want to keep the 33 year old at the club beyond the end of the season.
Al-Nassr, who recently signed Cristiano Ronaldo, are reportedly interested in signing Reus. He has rejected big money offers from other clubs in the past. And he said last year that he would like to stay at Borussia Dortmund until the end of his playing career.
But it remains to be seen what the future holds for him now. WAZ also state that Marco Reus and Sebastian Kehl are set to hold talks in the coming days. And that conversation could finally bring some clarity on the Germany international’s future.
