Report: Borussia Dortmund ready to offer Youssoufa Moukoko a salary package of over 40 million euros
Borussia Dortmund are ready to increase their contract offer for Youssoufa Moukoko and are now prepared to hand him a four year contract worth more than 40 million euros.
Youssoufa Moukoko’s contract with Borussia Dortmund is set to expire at the end of the season, and a number of big clubs are interested in signing him on a free transfer. The Black and Yellows are determined to keep the highly rated striker at the club, and are even prepared to increase their offer in a bid to convince him to stay.
According to BILD, Borussia Dortmund are offering Moukoko a four year contract which will see him earn an annual salary of six millions euros. The 18 year old will also receive a signing bonus of ten million euros. While his agent Patrick Williams will receive an extra bonus of five million euros, plus his 10% agent commission.
The tabloid adds that the BVB bosses have put together a total salary package of more than 40 million euros for Moukoko, which is far more than what they were willing to pay earlier. Sport1 claimed earlier this week that Newcastle United are prepared to offer Moukoko a salary of nine million euros per year, as well as a signing bonus of 30 million euros.
Youssoufa Moukoko said in November that his preference would be to stay at Borussia Dortmund as long he gets the playing time he needs to continue his development. But it still remains to be seen what the future holds for him. The BVB bosses want a decision to be made before the end of the month.
Hans-Joachim Watzke recently said that he hopes Moukoko will stay at Borussia Dortmund beyond the end of the season. But he also admitted that there is a chance the striker could leave the club on a free transfer in the summer.
