Youssoufa Moukoko is set to extend his contract with Borussia Dortmund after a breakthrough in negotiations between the two parties.
The end of the long-drawn Youssoufa Moukoko contract saga could finally be in sight, with the striker now likely to sign an extension with Borussia Dortmund. This is being reported by Sky Sport, who add that there has been a breakthrough in negotiations between BVB and the striker’s agent this week. And Moukoko is now expected to sign a four year contract with the Black and Yellows.
The report adds that the new contract will see the 18 year old earn a base salary of more than three million euros per year. The sum could rise to five million euros with bonuses. Moukoko will also receive a signing bonus of ten million euros.
The two parties have not yet reached a final agreement. But there is great confidence at the club that Moukoko will extend his contract following recent talks with his agent Patrick Williams.
Youssoufa Moukoko’s current contract with Borussia Dortmund is set to expire at the end of the season. The highly rated striker said in November that his preference would be to stay in Dortmund. But negotiations over a new contract dragged on, with the two parties unable to agree to an extension.
Chelsea, FC Barcelona, Manchester United and Newcastle United were among the many clubs interested in signing Moukoko on a free transfer. But now it looks like an agreement is finally in sight, and the Germany international will stay at Borussia Dortmund for the foreseeable future.
