Borussia Dortmund are reportedly considering signing young Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga on loan this month.

It has been a fairly uneventful January transfer window so far for Borussia Dortmund, at least in terms of incomings and outgoings. But the Black and Yellows may look to make a foray into the transfer market before the month ends. According to Fabrizio Romano, the BVB bosses are exploring the conditions to potentially sign Anthony Elanga on a loan deal.

The report adds that Elanga would be keen on a move to the Bundesliga. Although it remains to be seen just how concrete Borussia Dortmund’s interest is in the talented winger. Everton are also said to be interested in signing the 20 year old.

Anthony Elanga joined Manchester United in 2015 and broke through the club’s youth ranks before establishing himself in the senior team. He has found playing time hard to come by this season, and has been limited to just 18 appearances across all competitions. And he could look to leave the Premier League side as a result. But the final decision rests in Manchester United’s hands.

Overall, the Sweden international has made 47 appearances for Manchester United and has four goals and three assists to his name.

Borussia Dortmund’s lack of depth in attack proved to be costly in the first half of the season, as injuries to key players meant that they often struggled for goals. And a potential loan signing would add some much needed competition for places to the side.
