Midfielders: Salih Özcan, Jude Bellingham, Marco Reus

Mahmoud Dahoud is a doubt for Sunday’s game, having just come back from a long injury lay-off. With games coming thick and fast, it does not make much sense to rush him back into the starting XI. Salih Özcan is more than capable of getting the job done in defensive midfield, and he should play from the start on Sunday.

Jude Bellingham was Borussia Dortmund’s star performer and leading goalscorer in the first half of the season. And after setting the World Cup stage alight with his performances for England, he will be determined to continue his stunning run of form after the winter break. He will start in the number eight role against Augsburg.

Marco Reus is a doubt ahead of the game. If he is unable to recover from his illness in time, Julian Brandt will likely come into the starting XI.
