Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 4-3 win over Augsburg

Borussia Dortmund saw off the challenge of Augsburg in their first game of 2023, with Gio Reyna scoring the winner in a seven goal thriller.
Borussia Dortmund’s return to Bundesliga action was a roller coaster of a ride as they claimed an incredible 4-3 win over Augsburg. Goals from Jude Bellingham, Nico Schlotterbeck, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, and Gio Reyna helped the Black and Yellows secure a hard fought victory over a resilient Augsburg side.
The game pretty much summed up Borussia Dortmund’s season so far. Edin Terzic’s side played some gorgeous football going forward. But defensive lapses and concentration issues helped make the game much closer than it should have been.

Gregor Kobel (6/10)
Gregor Kobel was unlucky to concede three goals as he was let down by sloppy defending from those in front of him once again. He hardly put a foot wrong all game long, and did not even have a save to make.
