Borussia Dortmund will go up against SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga this weekend, looking to build on their impressive start to the calendar year.

Borussia Dortmund have been on song since the return of the Bundesliga. And they face another tricky test on Saturday, as they welcome SC Freiburg to the Signal Iduna Park. The Black and Yellows have an impressive recent record against Freiburg, especially at home.

But Christian Streich’s side have made some really big strides over the last 12 months. And the two teams go into the game level on points in the Bundesliga standings.

It will be interesting to see if Edin Terzic makes any major changes to the side that dispatched Bayer Leverkusen last weekend.

Salih Özcan will miss Saturday’s game through suspension. And Marco Reus could replace him in the starting XI. Julien Duranville, Thomas Meunier, and Mateu Morey are all sidelined with injuries at the moment.

A win on Saturday would help Borussia Dortmund go level on points with Bayern Munich, with the Bavarians not playing until Sunday.
