Borussia Dortmund delivered one of their best performances of the season so far as they claimed a thumping 5-1 win over SC Freiburg.

Borussia Dortmund were at their rampant best on Saturday afternoon. Led by Sebastien Haller’s first competitive goal since recovering from testicular cancer, the Black and Yellows handed Freiburg a 5-1 defeat to continue their excellent start to 2023.

It was a dominant display from Edin Terzic’s side, who never really looked like losing the game. Nico Schlotterbeck, Karim Adeyemi, Julian Brandt and Gio Reyna were also on target for Borussia Dortmund; and a number of players delivered eye-catching performances.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 5-1 win over SC Freiburg.

Gregor Kobel (6/10)

Kobel hardly had any saves to make as Freiburg were happy to defend deep for the majority of the game. He was caught off guard with Lucas Höler’s goal, but did not have much to do other than that.
