Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 2-1 win over Bochum
By Tushar Bahl
Borussia Dortmund are through to the quarterfinals of the DFB-Pokal after earning a hard fought 2-1 win away to VfL Bochum.
It wasn’t the prettiest of wins but Borussia Dortmund got the job done against VfL Bochum in their DFB-Pokal round of 16 tie. Goals from Emre Can and Marco Reus were enough in the end to help the Black and Yellows secure their place in the quarterfinals of the DFB-Pokal.
BVB missed a host of big chances in the first half, before Emre Can scored the opening goal with an excellent strike from the half-way line. Bochum then equalised in the second half through Kevin Stöger after being awarded a dubious penalty.
But Borussia Dortmund weren’t to be denied, and Marco Reus tapped home the winner in the 70th minute after being teed up by Jude Bellingham.
Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 2-1 win over VfL Bochum.
Gregor Kobel (8/10)
Kobel made a number of fantastic saves for his side, including two from one v one situations. He also came close to saving Stöger’s penalty in the second half. Without him in goal, Borussia Dortmund would certainly not have won.
