The teams Borussia Dortmund could face in the DFB-Pokal quarterfinals

Eight teams remain in the hunt to win the 2022/23 DFB-Pokal, and Borussia Dortmund will find out their quarterfinal opponents when the draw takes place on February 19.
Borussia Dortmund secured their place in the quarterfinals of the DFB-Pokal by earning a hard fought 2-1 win over VfL Bochum on Wednesday. The Black and Yellows will now have their sights set on a deep run in the competition. But a tough test could well lie in store for them in the quarterfinals.
The draw for the quarterfinals of the 2022/23 DFB-Pokal will take place on Sunday, February 19 at 17:10 CET.
Borussia Dortmund’s possible DFB-Pokal quarterfinals opponents
Seven of the eight teams left in the DFB-Pokal play in the Bundesliga, and we could be set for some blockbuster matches in the quarterfinals.
Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are undoubtedly the favourites to win the DFB-Pokal this season. Defending champions RB Leipzig and Union Berlin are also firmly in contention. While SC Freiburg will be aiming to make it all the way to the final once again after their incredible run last season.
FC Nürnberg are the only non-Bundesliga team left in the DFB-Pokal. They beat Fortuna Düsseldorf on penalties to make it through to the quarterfinals.
Here are the eight teams that will be in the draw for the DFB-Pokal quarterfinals.
Bundesliga: Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Union Berlin, RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt, SC Freiburg, VfB Stuttgart
2. Bundesliga: FC Nürnberg
The quarterfinals of the DFB-Pokal will take place on April 4 and 5. The semifinals will then be played on May 2 and 3, before the final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on June 3.
