Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Julian Brandt were on target as Borussia Dortmund continued their fine run of form by claiming a 2-0 win over Werder Bremen.

Borussia Dortmund showed that they are ready to take the fight to Bayern Munich in the race for the Bundesliga title this season by earning a hard fought 2-0 win over Werder Bremen on Saturday. Despite not being at their fluent best, the Black and Yellows managed to find their way past a resilient Werder Bremen side to make it six wins in a row in all competitions.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens came off the bench to give Borussia Dortmund the lead in the second half. Julian Brandt then continued his excellent run of form by making it 2-0 late on and securing the three points for his side.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 2-0 win over Werder Bremen.

Gregor Kobel (7/10)

Kobel was tested on a few occasions in the first half but managed to stand up to the task. He did get caught out of position once in the second half. But luckily Marvin Ducksch’s effort landed just over the bar. It was still a well earned clean sheet for the Swiss shot stopper.
