Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 2-0 win over Werder Bremen
By Tushar Bahl
Julian Ryerson (6/10)
Ryerson made a couple of impressive darting runs from right-back and also came close to scoring early on. He then nearly scored an own goal, but managed to recover from that and put in another dogged performance for his side.
Niklas Süle (7/10)
Süle defended with great resolve and made some crunching tackles and vital interceptions for his side. He also played some neat forward passes and started a few BVB attacks.
Nico Schlotterbeck (7/10)
Schlotterbeck had problems defensively at times, but once again played with great tenacity. He played a crucial role in Bynoe-Gittens’ goal by making a fine forward run and not giving up on the ball despite being surrounded by two Werder Bremen defenders.
Raphael Guerreiro (6/10)
Guerreiro struggled to keep up defensively, especially before Mitchell Weiser was forced to come off. But he once again showed his excellent creativity by setting up Julian Brandt’s goal in the 85th minute with a delightful defence splitting pass.
